A graduate with a GPA of 3.5, Anneka Henry is attending Portland State University. As a theater and dramatic arts major, Anneka Henry is also involved with Northwest Children’s Theater (NWCT).

Established in 1993, NWCT was founded to not only entertain but also educate and enrich the lives of young audiences through theater. With one of the largest theater schools on the West Coast, NWCT produces five Mainstage shows per year. The company is known for its innovative youth arts programming, including Kid’s Company.

Kid’s Company comprises a group of talented young people who take their musical reviews outside of the school and into the community. As part of NWCT’s ambassador group, members perform in festivals, retirement homes, and even in other schools. This unique training program is intended for intermediate and advanced students (from 8 to 14 years of age) and provides an opportunity for students to work closely with theater professionals. Moreover, this program enhances the group’s ensemble work and helps students develop self-confidence and flexibility, two essential skills required of professional performers.
